We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Supportive Care - Activity Assistant.. The ideal candidate is outgoing, energetic, and compassionate. Having fun at work is a job requirement!

Pay and Schedule Information:

Pay Scale: $15.30 - 16.05 (depending on experience)

Status: Full time

Standard schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM (occasional evenings and weekends)

General Job Duties:

Join our dynamic Life Enrichment team to use your creativity and joy to enrich the lives of our residents! You will help implement activities that set residents up for success and ensure they experience the fullness that life has to offer. Your positive vibes will be reciprocated through the smiles and laugher of our residents.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (preferred):

• Facilitates opportunities to meet resident needs through planned activities primarily in supportive care
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in the English language
• Assists with planning and posting for monthly calendar
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and office equipment needed to create activities and maintain activity calendars in digital and printed formats
• Ability to acquire the class of driver's license required for resident transportation (J05)
• Ability to pay attention to a variety of details at one time.
• Assists the Coordination with various administrative tasks such as orienting new staff and volunteers, ordering supplies, or other similar support tasks
• Ability to communicate well with departmental staff to create collaboration in meeting quality of life needs for each resident, including some Dementia-specific programming.
• Ability to show warmth, love, and compassion and to make residents feel comfortable.
• Physical condition allowing for normal activity duties including but not limited to; lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, grabbing, pushing or pulling up to 20lbs., standing or walking an entire shift, use of arms and hands with dexterity.
• Dependability & Punctuality
• Ability to read and follow regulations and instructions.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
